I'm getting a little confused here, too.
I suggested that they get their CDLs so they could drive trucks and was quickly told that he is unable to drive due to physical limitations.

That man, in Navajo, could let it rest.

George Foreman Grill will bring $10 bucks or so on Ebay. Books can sometimes be sold on ebay if they are bestsellers. DON'T overlook those extra $$$. They will add up.

If they're not worth much individually, sell them as job lots on Ebay. Some book freak would leap at that. Buyer pays the shipping.
