I would love to see something like this.

What I would not love to see, and fear we might, are posts that get all bogged down with an 'expert' hammering everyone over the head with 2 doz posts trying to convince us believers we are wrong because modern medicine said so. I don't mind naysayers, everyone has an opinion, so state it once, but don't make it your life's mission to prove someone is wrong because they don't believe what you do. When it gets to that, you're not discussing or sharing information anymore, you're just bullying.

Okay, my crusade is over.

I vote yes.

I think it could be very helpful if we are all responsible with our posts.

Count me for a yes also. I understand that it's hard to have a forum like that do to the legal problems, but a disclaimer should take care of that. I have been working on a web page with many such remedies. I'll add it to my sig when I get it completed.

I would check it out every day if they started one. I think it would fit right in with the topics they already have.

I would be there every day also. Maybe it could start with a stickey to read first saying that this is just a discussion and not intended to be any medical advice, ect.

This guy has a radio show in our area. On our christian family radio station. Real informitive. He is a doctor and a pharmacist, but mainly releys on nature. He takes questions by email and phone calls on his show. He gives the glory to God and has prayer for the folks who call in. Here is his website if you are interested.

Here is where the problem starts....people making claims of which they have no idea about what they are talking about....Ricketts is caused bya vitamin D deficiency.....things like this always set off the BS detector with people making claims that are obviously in error....always makes me question what else are they stating that is incorrect.....

hummmm ... I am interested in this area too, and I would look forward to any information given. I have my own books on the topic and I consult them regularly. And at the moment, I take no prescribed medicines, although up until 3 years ago, I took several on a regular daily basis.

But I do have concerns about some people, not anyone here, that I am aware of! lol (please nobody take offence), but there are people out here on the net, passing themselves off as experts, when they aren't.

I don't see why we couldn't just call it the natural/herbal list, instead of remedy or cure. And just let everyone have their say. In the end, we each make the decision on who to believe, and who to discount .... And that's ok too. It's that way in real life anyhow. I also think that we might be hard pressed to find someone with real creditials to moderate the list, and then even if we did, they are gonna be opinionated, and maybe not allow the flow because they know of someone who died doing such and such. (Take the comfrey scare for example)

I dunno .... but maybe just a few ideas to keep in mind.

As I see this is where the problem stops. If someone makes an error someone else is sure to point it out.

Two or three points of view and I get to make up my own decision.

I think this is a great idea too. I guess there are going to be people who don't believe in natural remedies coming on and harassing like they do in some other threads, but I'm learning to ignore these people.

I'd like it in the sticky that if you don't agree or have contradicting information, please share. But don't be ugly and personal about it. No name calling and just saying "that's stupid" isn't really factual debate fodder.

as you can see some folks don't take to kindly to having their errors pointed out.....and correcting a error (if its caught) is a bit late if someone takes the erronious info and starts to use it or never sees the correction......in some cases this may cause someone harm....

You can be sure a forum section on natural remedies/therapies ect. will be constantly harassed by someone here who loathes everything but allopath medical. Sorry, but it has been tried/discussed before and every time that medical policeman shows up and proceeds to tell us how ignorant we are. It gets really old.
