When I see McMansions spreading like a virus west of Des Moines over what used to be some of the world's richest farm land...I perversly wish I owned a chuck of farm land in the middle...with a hog confinement or cattle feedlot or egg factory poultry house. I think that if you are zoned ag and are farming before the zoning changes to residential you are grandfathered to continue farming. Of course, rising taxes usually force farmers out as you can't afford to farm land taxed at the valuation of $50,000+ per acre which is what it sells for to developers.

Have a good yell fight with someone, in your yard, often, that's what I do.....But then you are not 6 feet tall like me, big enough to scare the jeepers out of your tiny paranoid neighbors...Want me to come for a visit?

I haven't read all the posts so forgive me if this has already been mentioned...lol

Were it me I'd sell the animals and take up a hobby...like, chain saw art. Of course, if you work typical hours you'd have to get up real early to work on your art before going to work...

Yeas ..I thought about that when I first read it ..and that's why I explained "even if unintentional". I know you didn't intend to mock anybody here ..not you!

A joke is a joke ..not supposed to be taken literally ..not seriously. So ..when you joke Pyrnad's situation here ..it makes Pyrnad's situation sound like a joke too.

So again ..IMO ..there is "no reason to mock pyrnad's situation ..even if unintentional."
