Why? Are you not happy with yourself? Do you feel you have to change yourself in order to still be on the show?
If you do ..then what's the sense of going on the show?

Again ..if they were taking a vote ..I'd still vote for you!

Happy w/ myself.. Yep 100%,
Happy w/ my weight? ummm not really lol (working on that)

Does it bother me enough to stop me from doing what I want to do? Nope.
But it does bother me enough for it to cross my mind.. (as it would just about any other woman) for the same reasons, I am cleaning my house like a mad woman! lol

Good luck TxCloverAngel -- I just knew those guys got an opportunity to clean like crazy before filming...I'm so glad to know that )

Qwispea you continue to amaze me with your talent for asking questions that seem all innocent when infact they are often insulting to others.

Hugs

Just think - it'll make the swap more opposite.... better tv - better for your chances at the money.

I'm looking out for your reports.

LOl..Same here...We are in the process of drywalling the house we have been building for three or so years, no AC, no running water except what we haul, using a sawdust toilet , sheets used for doors. Or she could mow the land with a push mower in 99% and a heat index of 109. She would have to put up with DH's outburst when something doesn't fit because a stud twisted or we forgot that we needed to do this, or someone knocks over a whole can of primer . Or DS's complaining that he needs to have a "life of his own". Heck it might even be fun to have my two DD's over for the week with all the drama that brings. Did I also mention the heat, humidity, bugs and coyotes...lol..

Looking forward to your take on how their visit went, TxCloverAngel.

My husband said if another woman came in here and went all squeamish on him, he'd have to take her outside, knock her down, and pee on her. "To protect her from predators."

I about died laughing.

Had to clean my screen when I read that! Sounds like something my son would do!

Regarding my questions to TxCloverAngel ..they weren't intended the way some of you have insinuated. I did nothing except respond to TxCloverAngel's own concern about her weight. I meant nothing bad ..and if you read bad into it ..then perhaps its something you were thinking anyway ..your fault ..not mine.
And unlike you ..at least TxCloveAngel responded very nicely to me.

Now ..about TxCloverAngel and the possibility that she might win a spot on the TV show: I believe that TxCloverAngel is fine just as she is ..she doesn't need to change herself just so that some TV producer might think more highly of her.
She handles herself very well on this forum ..and is always willing to help others here. She appears to be a fine example of what it means to be a 'homesteader' in our day and age.
I believe that TxCloverAngel would be very good on a show like that ..and IMO ..she would certainly make any of us on HT very proud of her.

I hope she gets chosen.

Rather than these self absorbed, negative "homesteading" martyrs on THIS forum... The homesteaders at the Texas place are for REAL. They do EVERYTHING from scratch!! Furniture, homes, draft horses to plow, etc. And they're really mellow, and pleasant about it all.
Wow! You know them? I love that place! We went there with our homeschool group a few years ago. That's where I first began to think about changing our lifestyle.
