I'm sorry, I'm sure you would rather not be the forums daily entertainment, but we just can't wait to see what happens to your dastardly neighbors. These folks have no clue. At this point I feel what goes around comes around.
I am enjoying my farm. Having a great day too I have guineas hatching My garden is doing great, and the fireflys will be out tonight.
My neighbors do not know how to enjoy these simple things in life. I have not given in to their screaming and swearing, nor will I. I refuse to play their game. I have blood, sweat and tears in my farm. I will not move an inch on this. They are in the wrong and do not get it. When it comes to my land I will fight, but the right way not the wrong way.

Good for you Pyrnad. I can't wait to read the update and find out what all has been happening. Hang in there and stick to your guns.

I just came back from the lawyer. I am going to have the leach field removed from my property, they will need an entire new system tank and all. They will have to replace contaminated earth with new earth. Between this and the other money they owe me it looks like I might end up with the property. Keep your fingers crossed, that all goes well for me. I will keep you all updated when I have more info.

I think that taking their proerty is the best option. One thing I am wondering though: if they owe you enough that they have to sign the property over to you, maybe just leaving the septic as-is would be a good idea?

Just a thought.

I am happy that your troubles are moving to a resolution.

I am actually starting to feel sorry for these people. They have earned the problems but it is none stop problems now.

Was that septic system in when you moved there? I am assuming so. I would think that they have some legal wrangling of their own to do with, the people they bought from.

How many years has the leach field been in ? If it has been in TOO long, it must be left alone, but I am not sure how many years is required in your state.

16 years. Has to be 20 years with the same owner here in Maine. Has been 3 owners in 11 years.

What goes around comes around. Do you have any idea what this is costing me up front First the survey, and then the lawyer
Yes I will get it back in the end, but I am not well off( actually broke, especially now) I do not feel bad. They started this, and I will now finish it. I have no more buttons left to push.

I said that wrong. I think you are totally in the right and did not deserve this in any way shape or form.

I think the neighbors earned their problems! Karma! I just hate seeing a dog that is already down kicked. It's not your fault. It just happened to be the way the cards turned and they started it.

Oh, good for you! Those people have been so rotten to you, this is just poetic justice! I hope everything continues to go well for you.

I'm glad things are falling into place. How much will it cost you to have the leach field removed? It seems like a big expense that you have to pay because of these people being jerks. Will you ever get the money back for the new earth, etc.? My thought was that if you end up owning their property, you might be glad you have the trailer with an intact septic system? Maybe as a rental or house for a caretaker/farm help? Can you just have part of the connecting pipe removed, so no more waste can be dumped onto your property for now? Just thinkin' out loud. Hope this all works out and stay safe!
