I will be calling Points parks department on Monday, will reserve what ever is available at a resonable price. What is the money limit I should stick with?

I think under 100.00 for the pavillion.
You always get the deposit back.
I sent you a message Straight Shot....

Maybe you should get a committment from some of the posters before spending any money.

I would need to know the final date.

If Sept 9 or 10 has been settled on--------we have other committments and will not be there. But if it should be a different weekend, we would try to make it.

OK we set a place, it will be at Collins Lake Park just of Hwy 66 about 15 miles east , north east of St Point.
The Date is Sept 9th. Collins park has a pavilion, I will rent it if its available, the park does have camping, a swimming beach , nice playground equipment. And there is some fish to catch. A canoe, kayak would be perfect. Its a small country park, should be tons of fun.
OK now we need to get a list of how many will be attending, and what you are bringing for the pot luck. Each Family should bring their own drinks, plates and cutlery. OH and don't forget the lawn chairs. I would also suggest to bring your own drinking water, the water their is not the best tasting.

If anyone has any objections to this park or date please let me know ASAP.

Another central Wisconsinite here. Would love to come and meet everyone. I don't post very often (shy, quiet type...) but I do lurk often. Any day is fine with DH and myself. See you all soon!!

Just a quick update on our NW IL Homesteading Weekend scheduled for July 29-30, 2006. We've had quite a number of calls and expect a good (but not overwhelming) amount of folks to be here. In keeping with our "We don't have a plan and are sticking to it!", we are taking requests from folks on what they want to learn or what they want to teach. Sometime on Saturday, we will be processing chickens. From feather to freezer. On Sunday we will be discussing bread making and getting the draft horses out for lessons on harnessing, hitching and driving them. Saturday evening will be spent around the cook fire (our outdoor living room) with lots of singing (bring your instruments).

If anyone is interested in joining us, please give Cyndi or Paul a call at 815-625-2607!
