I was looking for a faster way to heat and also without using the electric. I have a window AC and can't run much with the air on. I try and cook for the day in the morning while it's cool enough to not run the air. But without insulation and days in the 90's and humid, we have to have AC. With the AC running I can only run one burner or it trips the switch. I'd like to be able to cook a full meal at one time. That's why I was thinking about a propane stove and propane oven.
We were in the same situation as you about using the two burner stove to heat water and take a bsponge bath. I finally broke down and spent the money for the insta heat propane shower from Coleman, 7 gallon water containers and a sprayer hose that comes with the machine. It works great. We built a tarp tent, stick the pump in a 7-gallon water container which we refill at the car wash or at my mom's on the way home from work each day. The hot water is instant, the water pressure is good and I also use it for washing dishes as the temp gets as high as 160 degrees. When I don't want to use the propane, I set the water containers outside and the water is more than hot enough for a shower. We have a sawdust toilet so we don't need water for that. We use 7 gallons for three baths and the dishes everyday. The total cost for us was under 200.00, but it was worth it after months of sponge baths, heating water, and difficulty in rinsing my long hair.

Cabin:
Why would you be in trouble? WIHH must now stand for Water in Her Hair...it's not like she's overweight with warts, so why would she care? However, if anyone published a similar picture of me they would be dead meat!

We fill 2 Arizona tea gallon jugs with warm water at the kitchen sink and pour it over ourselves outdoors. We feel smug for conserving water and electricity and no one has to scrub a shower stall afterwards. Hopefully by winter we will have the damaged drain fixed in the upstairs bathroom, though.
I will miss the sunrise and the stars during bathtime.

The reason I asked about power, is that in the pics you will see the shower that was added to the shed, lean-to, with sawdust toilet in the "bathroom".

Started as a "Zodi" in a bucket, then a 12v pump in the "pulpit" (55 gal plastic tank in the pulpit to keep from turning green), then the second 55 agl drum (painted blue to keep from turning green), Water from the roof.
Then to a 12 v "sprayer pump" that has a presser switch. Shut off the sprayer the pump stops.

Finially added a 2-1/2 gal elect water heater in the shed, turn the t-stat all the way down( no mixing valve) ran the 12v pump thru the heater.

Heats up in about 15 min, gives 2-1/2 gal shower ( longer if you want, but only so much hot water).
Have the cabin done now but the shower is still there, for after working in the fields.

I had forgotten about this until i read another post this morning.

An easy solar shower can be made from a piece of three inch PVC pipe painted black and placed in the sun for about 20 to 30 mins.Someone gave a link to it last year.
On the link the guy had cut a piece of 3inch pipe and added four 90 degree corners to make a square section of pipe (held 2 or 3 gallons) that could be placed in the sun then moved to a convenient shower location.Even just hung on a tree branch, then gravity flowed.Just plumb in a "T" with a spigot for a hose or a ball valve and shower head, and you have a shower.Could be made as large as you wanted pretty cheap.
Add another T and cap on top and you could add preheated hot water with out removing it.ON days with little sun or at night.

Or you could lay out a series of pipes on a roof and have lots of hot water. But it would be to hot to be comfortable with out shielding it from the sun untill needed or adding cold water into the flow.
