You know that is pretty scary to read. To think that there might be truckers out there that haven't had the proper sleep. Didn't they have Hours of Service rules when you were driving?

I used to tour with a country music band. Most tourbus drivers are former freight haulers. They tell scary scary stories. Many truckers will run 2 log books. When you get stopped, just pull out the book that says you should be awake right now. To be fair, really good drivers are somewhat superhuman. I have spent many nights asleep as the bus travelled over 1000 miles. Never bothered me.

I'm fairly new to this web site so I don't know Daytrader's history but as someone from the outside looking in I would say he's is in his manic phase. I hope your family (that you so want to avoid) are trying to get you help Daytrader. Until you solve your problems where you stand, it won't matter where you move. They will follow you there. I'll be praying for you.

It happens alot. Most folks fine it hard to think about traveling 120k miles a year let along 220-260k a year as I have done.

We hope to be able to stow down alot when we move.

I am getting out of driving. We are keeping out trucks, but the wife and I want to try a dream we both had. Living on the ocean.

So In about 6 more weeks. Our new home will be ready for us to board.

See what we have here is a lack of communication. I am communicating just fine you fail to understand.

I and the wife Like Nevada a lot. We have thought hard about moving there. We have researched and spent many weeks there checking it out. We even purchased land in Elko just in case.

We are both well traveled. We want to find the perfect place FOR US. Were we both will be happy. Sge was raised on the coast. I raised in Germany.

Right now we are in a place were that is not possible. It was when we started , But we made our own problem by getting involved and investing in the area. So we will be getting out of this area as much as we can

So now we seek a better refuge after years of wanting this and hating that. We have found that in Florida. Were I sit right now at this time.

We still have many things to get rid of yet, but they will go away soon.

We are starting fresh. To the city dweller life. We have sold or almost have everything sold that was able to be sold.

When we move we will need no truck. Just plane tickets. As we can buy all new at our new location.

Our boat is a 41' Hatteras. It is not new, but affordable. Should be on the water August 24th. That is the date we have set.

North Dakota we love very much. We still maintain a home in Minot. We will also maintain a home in Illinois as well as our Country Store. SOON TO BE STORES.

We have busted our bust, to live the type of life we have always wanted. When folks were growing Corn we grew Berries, when folks were selling trucks we were buying them. WE ALSO DO JUST FINE. I like brokering hay and will keep doing it.

See when I sell 150k homes for 30-80k cash folks think I am nuts. I do not carry debt.It is also sad when a lady that worked PART TIME for the last 7 years at a pre school. Can pay me 32k in cash and own her 150k home right next door to a Surgical Nurse that is getting ready to loose his home due to a adjustable rate mortgage.

I and my wife have been very lucky. We have been able to do what we want for years. Ore rule as long as we are happy and it makes money we are happy.

We never made our living off the homestead. We just liked being able to live the way we pleased. Some folks need to make that living and I think they should.

I have for many years been a hands on investor. My company is a lic corp in illinois as a investment corp. That is what we do. We have a lot of fun doing it.

Now, its time to quit being so hands on and start relaxing. My wife was late to her own wedding due to having to take care of business. After our own wedding we both went back to work. We have always been self employeed and we will keep on doing it. Just now, its time to enjoy each other and what we have. Good folks that can take care of things and our time together.

We are investors first, earners second and workers always. Just because I know some of you will ask. No neither of us come from any money. I mean the folks had the amount to get us out of the can and that was it. Some times it would take a day or three.

Just incase you would like. I HAVE MADE THIS OFFER ON OTHER SITES. I WILL PAY 500 BUCKS AND PROVIDE ALL ROOM AND BOARD AT A LOCAL HOTEL FOR ANYONE THAT WOULD LIKE TO SHADOW ME FOR A WEEK. Think about that 500 bucks, a place to stay, food and learn how to make real cash. GUESS WHAT NO ONE WILL DO IT. ITS alot of work.

But the offer stands. Get to 202 north main street summerfield Illinois. You have a 500 buck a week job shadowing me. NOT EVEN WORKING.

Just in case You must RSVP. If you are used to sleeping everyday. This may not be for you.

Heck if you want let me know and I will even give you the cell phone numbers of folks that work for me. I will let them try to convince you to come do it.

You are so high and up on your self come try a real days work. there are 24 hours in a day. WE WILL USE ALL 24 AND TRY TO GET 36 IN THAT 24.

Question But....

What's going to happen to the town that you almost single-handedly raised from the dust?

What about all the dogs? Do you still prowl around with your trusty shotgun?

What about the local authorities? Do they still hate you?

These are the things I'm wondering. I already know you are rich...

Daytrader,

I'll give you some free (and friendly) advice. Down size everything down to one small homestead somewhere, but in a locale better than Nevada. Missouri, Oklahoma, or Arkansas all have better land and more water. I believe your rural neighbors will be better people in those states as well.
Develop a homestead with your own sweat labor. Don't hire anything done.
After a couple of years, you can post pictures of your place here and have
something to be proud of that you've accomplished.
