If the government were really concerned about the safety of our meat and food supply, they should start with having it processed by legal residents of the United States. I don't blame Japan for not wanting our meat. I wouldn't trust it myself. It would be such an easy industry to target for a terrorist attack. The only thing you would need is an undetectable poison, fluent speaker of Spanish, and willing to accept a piddily wage. Kinda scary if you think about it. Contact your senators and if you don't get a satisfactory response be sure to vote accordingly next election. GET THOSE IDIOTS OUT OF OFFICE.

A USDA meat inspector lives in my area. The reason I know him is because he is a poultry fancier (he was raising show bantams. But now he is a fancy pigeon judge).

He says he would NEVER eat meat from the grocery stores because he sees where it comes from and how it is handled while processing.

My step father worked at a nearby feedlot for many years. I got plenty of chances to see how the cattle are handled, how they are pumped full of chemicals by injection and in their feed.

Anyone who sees some of this stuff first hand should be turned off by supermarket meat and milk.

Our meat and dairy facilities in this country is a joke. I don't know why other countries even import our meat.
