corky, you beat me to it, i've been wondering about gail for a couple of weeks now. if someone can get ahold of him, let him know that i'd be willing to pick him up or go to his place and drive his pickup down for him since he sleeps in it. not that far out of the way for me.

forget coffee, i bring Mt. dew. the king of all wakeups!!

Speaking of Gail, did he get the computer posifour11 brought me to fix and I sent with Rea for her daughter to deliver? She's up there by him.

Oh I understand completely... coffee is the only thing my grandma and uncle drink. It doesn't matter if it's 100 degrees outside granny drank hot coffee. My uncle is coming so I will be bringing coffee pot for him too. Just trying to help.

There has to be something wrong with me that two of my dearest friends can so readily picture me picking up tiny styrofoam balls off the ground. Remind me to tell you about the time two huge boxes of those styrofoam peanuts got blown open outside here. I thought I got all of those ... but I still find a couple everytime I go walk in the woods down the hill.

Russell, I'm PM you Gails phone number so he can get your wonderful offer direct from you. You're such a kind and thoughtful person.

I'm hoping that Courney's (sp?) has a nice ham bone for my pot of pinto beans. I'm thinking of doing the beans for Friday night supper. Of course, the idea of our usually Friday lunch of one of their ham sandwiches is motivation enough to stop. Or in my case ask Ladonna to stop.

Corky, I'm hoping to have our BIG breakfast on Sunday morning again...because we always have such a big Pot Luck for Saturday at noon?? Not that I wouldn't eat your potatoes and onions for two days in a row.

I've got lots of new dutch oven recipes I would like to try...I've about come to the conclusion that the majority of my fellow campers are mainly "meat and potatoes" people (just like hubby.) ... So I guess cornish game hens with wild rice dressing probably will not be a hit??

Only 31 more days to go.....

Hugs
Marlene

Marlene; if you butcher the pig we may have to find another PINK FLAMINGO.
Actually I have been thinking about slicing the pig in half to make more room in the truck. HOWEVER all methods I have thought of ( chain saw, hand saw , wire saw) create a real mess off flying white foam beads. So if I run out of room in the truck Corky will just have to stay home with the goats. OH GOATS; thats a thought I could bring the little 2 month old buck. Won't take up much room, would provide entertainment, and Phonix could have a playmate buddy to take home with him. OH ; I love it when my mind gets working and comes up with all these good solutions and remember this would keep you from having to clean up all of the little white beads. Well after all of this thinking I better take a rest.

When you do the QUOTE it doesn't include the signature line, so I had to go back and put that on there.
When I first glanced at that, I coudn't tell if it said "Haremless" or "Harmless" Sultan of Wolf Mountain. Maybe we should check with Corky to see if that's a typo.

For all you new folks.
Our campouts are potluck and not much organization.
Think of how many meals you will be there fore and bring food to share at least for the midday meals and then bring food for yourself in case you are planning to be off exploring or for any other reason you might not be there for meal time. Maybe you wake up starved and cant wait for us slow pokes that have been up half the night to get stuff cooked.
We are there to visit, not to run an organized camp as you will find out.

Corky's right - our campouts are only organized in my dreams -- and even I have began to realize how boring that would get. Just don't tell Corky okay? No need to plan a dish for more then your average sized family - at our pot lucks there is always enough to feed everyone plus a few extras. And for other meals we just make like a community store and see what we can come up with....some meals have been interesting.

Milt/sultan -- I think have this tool that is made to cut styrofoam...I picked up at a yardsale because I remember the mess that stuff makes trying to cut...I'm not sure if it was made for such huge pieces but I'll bring it and we can give it a try if you are serious about dividing the pig.

That's Right Don -- One month from today.....

Hugs
Marlene

Update: Big Joe and Shelia will probably be there during the day. Beth will be in Washington DC with the school band.

Obser ya got me. Guess the lesson here is not to believe all you hear on public broadcasting. Best bet is go on line and check it out. Of course I could say I was just testing you or that I misspelled hundred or..or.. perhaps the Sultan should fess up to his first error this year. Right Corky?

Sultan, if all our "mistakes" were that insignificant we'd be in good shape.

YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!, the REAL countdown can begin!!!!!!!!!!! I guess this means that I'd better get my camping stuff out, and let it air out...maybe this weekend, as it looks like I may have almost two whole days off.......
Marlene, you know that we only aggravate ya cause we love ya!
Also, I know that someone asked a LONG time ago about the money....and I've been meaning to answer that, but you know that ole sometimers....... well, both sites are paid for. We had enough money left over from last falls to pay for the first site...and I paid for the second one, so that we would be sure and have it...we usually take up a collection, but believe me, it always evens out...............
I can hardly believe it is almost here!! I sure hope you guys manage to get hold of Gail...it just wouldn't be a picnic without him....... or Joe and Shelia....
Wow, I feel like I'm not bringing anything except the wonder dog... I can knit, crochet, embroider, macrame....and take pictures......hmmmm, let's see....I can also stay up later than most folks.... one advantage of working 2nd shift for so many years...I can also demonstrate just how to cram LOTS of stuff in to a very small space..and still know where what is...............
Oh, and Marlene, don't forget a great cake for those of us that are celebrating birthdays...if you are taking orders...me, chocolate....the more the better.... not only that, but we are going to have mortgage burning party for me!! Selfish twit aren't I???????? I'm so looking forward to catching up with old friends, and meeting some new ones........this is going to be sooooocooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllll
