Russell, Milt cut them all down last year. He hates the things because they spread so fast. They are almost impossable to kill so I am sure there will be some sprouting up on the hill. I will see what I can do for you.
I had one nice one that I left but it did not bloom. Frost probably got it.
You should be here now. The redbuds are blooming! My yard is soooooo beautiful!

Cat, by all means Eric should bring primitive tools if possible, including the two-woman saw. I can sharpen that saw and replace the wooden handle if you'd like.

Dennis, I'm left handed too and I sure could use a refresher course in knitting....Mrs. Patout, our home-ec teacher gave lessons after school, she she said the thing about lefthanded people are they are pearling when they think they are knitting or was it vs versa??
I need to re-read Obser's request on the saw -- not sure if your looking to borrow one or what. Hopefully, hubby/FourDeuce will respond if he can help out one way or the other.
You gotta admit Corky, those times you have had to bail me out when I'm misunderstood, it sure would help if I had some of your diplomatic charm. But you're right two of either of us would be too much for one world to handle.
Speaking of beautiful, I looking at our picture calender and for April it's a picture of "Clark-Creek in Lost Valley" inour Ozark mountains....in the picture it has water flowing and it's beautiful. Much prettier then when we hicked there last fall when it was completely dry.
Let's see only 33 more days to go....
Hugs
Marlene

Marlene, sorry I wasn't clear about the crosscut saw. My thought was that it would be appropriate if one was used/demonstrated/enjoyed at the gathering.
I have had several crosscuts over the years but do not have one at the moment. It would be nice if someone could bring one along to use. I would also be interested in purchasing if one were available.

Welcome to the looney bin Obser!
I've not responded to the 2 person crosscut because it reminds me that my grandfather's was hanging up in mom's garage when my sisters put her in a nursing home. I have no idea what happened to it and I'm not sure I want to. More fuel for unkind thoughts towards my sisters. I have way too much of that going on already. . . . .

Ok, if I can just remember how to gather stitches on, I'll TRY to show anyone who cares to learn how to knit. It's crocheting that's difficult. Knitting is easy.

Dennis, crocheting is easy. It's the knitting that is hard except with the knifty knitter.
I made scarves and hats for Christmas gifts and had some of my homespun alpaca fleece left so I mad a hat for Milt. It turned out to be the prettiest thing I made. I may bring it to show you.
Russell, I found lots of forsythia starts on the hill over the cave so I will try to remember to bring you some.
I am bringing alovera plants too. I just repotted mine today so have many pots to give away.

Talked to DH & he said it's no problem to bring the cross-cut & probably some other tools.
Did anyone else just get smacked with that storm last night? Our bunny hutches got picked up, moved 20 feet (not touching the ground, there's not a single mark in the grass), turned most of the way onto their sides, and smashed back down again. Only had 4 buns get out, and none of them hurt (although the little grey one we're still chasing might be if it doesn't cooperate ) We lost two more panes of glass, and Eric at least claims I hit him & jumped out of bed to grab the baby (I honestly don't remember anything before I was at the foot of the bed, watching Eric get up & was holding the baby & listening to the glass break) We had a really wild evening - this was about 2:30 or 3:00.

Dennis - I know how to cast on....and I have a handful of knitting needles if you'd like me to bring those...and some yarn...geeze all you'll have to do is instruct once I get all the stuff there
Ozarkcat....I'm not sure what someone(s) did in your area but ya'll sure have gotten the weather goddesses upset here of late...you might want to put that yurt on the back burner and start working on that altar. (Here is where I usually get into trouble, and Corky has to come to my resuse...)
Who is going to bring a tree trunk big enough to need a twoperson saw? Park rules are we can pick up downed wood -- big old no-no on downing it ourselves. I was thinking Corky and Milts pigs would make four better purportioned pigs. I did note that they are so wide that Milt had 'em decorated as four for New Years....what ya'll think -- demo a twoperson saw on the piglets??
How many of you are bringing camplights? I got another one at an auction on Saturday, it's one you use liquid fuel and pump up. I have the one that uses the cannister I was planning on bringing....as we are space poor I'll leave the new one if we have enough others.
Only 32 more days to go....
Hugs
Marlene

OK, first of all... Marlene, we are bringing only one pig.
Second.... if you all make it into two pigs with the two man saw then as it was Marlenes idea she alone gets the job if picking up all the little white styrofoam beads from the sawing. If the wind doesn't blow too hard she should have them all cleaned up by Sunday afternoon ....provided we do the sawing Friday night.
Is it too early to talk food? By request I am bringing potatoes and onions and will cook potatoes for Saturday morning breakfast.(reds with walking onions) maybe some yams thrown in for good measure. Remind me to get them ready the night before!
It is way..way...way too early for me to think of what I am bringing for Potluck Saturday. Did we discuss potluck with the new folks?
WHO CARES ABOUT THE LIGHTS! I WANT TO KNOW HOW MANY COFFEE POTS WE WILL HAVE GOING AT ONE TIME! (there are never enough)
COME ON FOLKS. LETS GET OUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!!!!
ah hum... I will have one.

IF coffee is that important????????????? This bunch can and DOES drink a LOT of coffee.........me, I only drink it when camping, weird eh? Course, that fits in with the rest of weird me........
Corky, I have this vision of Marlene...running all over picking up those little, tiny peices of foam............ hehehehehe....
Me, not sure what I'm bringing...mostly will depend on how much room Marlene allows Phoenix and I........... I usually bring some junk food, as I'm a junk a holic.....and of course, diet dew...food wise, not really sure, probably whatever strikes me that week, or maybe that day..........I'm not one to plan too far ahead....I'll leave that to those of you that do.......... I may stop at that courseys? I think it is, and bring some of their wonderful bacon, for breakfast...maybe some eggs, although I will probably have to wait til we load up the screwbaru before getting those...In spite of all of our planning, we invariably end up stopping at a store, to pick up last minute things, or things we forgot....
I'm mostly wanting to make sure I don't forget 1] the tent 2] the dog 3] clothes 4] camera and film{and now I have a new phone that has a cool little camera on it too.... }and 5] food.............
So, is it May yet??????????????

Merrymedic, I am sorry if you thought I was panicing about the coffee.
The truth is I bring a 10 cup pot and there are usually one or two more but when you have a lot of people there a pot of coffee doesn't go very far.
There was one campout that all we had was a little four cup pot and it never stopped making coffee. Pot after pot after pot.
It's just been kind of a joke sinse then.
