Of course. That's why so many old farmhouses have tin roofs. I made sure our house had one for Complete Protection. I just wonder though, do you think the paint diminishes effectiveness?

and from that House Encased in Alum. Foil Prank......the PAYBACK:
A practical joker got a taste of revenge when friends turned part of his apartment into a human-sized hamster cage, complete with shredded newspaper bedding, a six-foot exercise wheel and a giant water bottle.
The victim of that prank, Chris Kirk, spent nearly two years cleaning up the meticulous coating of foil, which was wrapped around everything from his toilet and CD collection to the individual coins in his spare change.
"They claim they did this on (Kirk's) behalf. If they think that's going to mitigate any of the revenge that's coming, well that's even funnier than the wheel," he said

Hey.
Take a tv dinner tray and bend it around your head like a helmet if you are running short on tinfoil. This will get you by in case of emergency when illegal aliens are taking over this country.

I can't believe you people are treating this like a JOKE.
Number 1. The government has mind control transmitters in the lights you see in towers. DON"T LOOK INTO THE LIGHTS.
Number 2. TIN FOIL HAS NO EFFECT ON THESE Scanners. the only sure way to block them is Armadillo shell helmets.
Please don't spread misinformation about this very important subject,

Now when your get into industrial stregnth your end up with layers of different materials to deal with all possible wave and radiation problems . for instance
there should be a thin layer of lead to combat gama rays, a grounded guasing coil or net to deal with eletromagnetism . you actually want the outer layer to be aluminum screen to collect rather than reflect the mind control waves which are then fed through a decoder and and logged so you can pretend to be under control when dealing with aliens or government agents (wouldnt want to tip them off . )Which is what reflected wave will do . If you simply reflect then they can triangulate your position

To be absolutely certain you are safe, you should actually make your tin-foil hat out of 4 layers of tin-foil two with shiny side out and two with shiny side in. You should also remember to stuff cotton balls up your nose and your ears, and keep your mouth closed as much as possible, and when you do open it use quick open and shut movements, as well as blinking your eyes often. That will keep you relatively safe while you are awake. As some of you have mentioned you also need a ground wire running from your hat to the ground. To be more fashionable make it out of fine silver wire, and add colored crystals for that special bling appeal. The crystals may not help confused the rays, and they will give you supernatural powers.
Because the most dangerous time is while you are sleeping, you need to cover the the walls, and ceiling of your bedroom with foil, it's okay to put the foil on the flour under carpeting or area rugs. If room allows using tin-foil to make a pyramid over your bed also helps. If you are fortunate enough to live in a mobile home, or in certain areas of the country where there are long hot summers, you will not have a problem with others questioning why there is foil over your windows.
It also helps if you go to sleep thinking about possible candidates for president in the next election.
Oh, I think Martha Stewart has some helpful hints on using pinking shears, and dried flowers to accent your hats on her website, MarthaStewart.com

BillHoo,
Aluminum tv dinner tray...shows you how often I eat tv dinners! It seems the trays are now being made of plastic as part of an alien conspiracy to keep us from having the potential to make an emergency hat.
BTW: A walk on a golfcourse wearing your tinfoil hat during a thunderstorm is known to stimulate braincells

This is old news. Technology has advanced since then. The best protection is to completely cover your tin foil hat with empty beer cans, making sure the drink hole is up. Some of the rays will enter the hole and become trapped in the can where they will ricochet around awhile and become mingled with other rays so that when they find their way out, the message is jumbled and harmless.

O.K. Now, lets get back to the basics here. How do we of the true calling, know which of the above posts are misinformation, planted here by the alien spys? I am really suspicious of that one about the 2 layers shiny side out and 2 layers shiny side in, it seams to me this would cancel each other out and leave you WIDE open to the enemy! How are we to know?????? Oh, the stress of it all!

Silly goose! The tin foil kept it from pruning! You need to put your hat on pronto and make sure you've got your brain powered up again!
