Woowoooooohoo!

The local grocery store had top sirloin for 1.99/lb in bulk today, but they were offering free cutting to size, so I got a 12 lb piece and had them cut into 1" steaks.

total cost $24 woohooo!

We sell 1/4's and 1/2's of beef for $2.00 hanging weight, cut and wrap costs $.40/pound. But, your actual amount of cut and wrapped meat will be less since you lose 20 to 30 % cutting lose.

I have one neighbor that gets $4.00 hanging weight for organic beef.

Thanks,

15 cubic foot freezer holds between 375 to 400 pounds of emu fat, meat is denser so you might get 500 pounds of meat, depending on how it is wrapped.
