LOL, yes I have 3 down there...actually in the garage, but the garage & basement are attached One is my "boo-boo" chicken. She's nearly healed, but it's too cold to keep her in the cage outside now. The second is her sister/hatchmate for company. I added Gordon, the polish rooster, after he got in a fight with a piece of string and lost Nothing too bad, but the string was wrapped pretty tight around his feet and legs. I'm just making sure his tootsies are ok before I put him back out...his feet look bad enough as it is!

As for the squirrels, they are still evading the trap, so I'll try tying the bait down as suggested. The can idea would work if I was dealing with a hole. I'm dealing with the entire top of the garage door, though
