I signed up for netflix a month ago. Because we are very rural, i'm able only able to get one set of 3 movies each week - takes a couple of days there and back atleast.
I recently tried the two week blockbuster trial. It was about the same for receiving the movies, BUT the once real difference is here:
When you go on the netflix site each member of the family can have their own que with the hightest rating for that member (my kids can only watch upto pg rated). Hubby and I have R as our highest rating.
The kids tell me what movies they want to reserve and they have one that will come each week in their name.
That way, hubby and i get our movie for the week and the kids do too.
On Blockbuster there is only one que per membership so all the movies get lumped together and there are no rating guidelines so you have to spend more time making sure the que is exactly right so each person gets a movie each week. That's why i cancelled that trial membership. With Netflix i can go on and put five movies in each person's que and not look at it for a couple of weeks or so.
