To those who care and want healthy animals.

Most prepared feeds for livestock have roughage in them which is the main thing that is needed.

Most livestock are keep to fat, for show which causes health problems.

They do not need hay.

NO kind of livestock needs any kind of grain to be healthy

ALL Livestock need proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, vitamins, and minerals and water to be healthy.

This can be made in many different forms.

Many people kill their livestock because they do not know how, or what to feed or how much and when during a 24 hr period ! ! !

You need to educate yourself and find out what animals really need and you won't be worrying so much, because you are not informed enough to make a proper evaluation.

Go study what the nutreinal needs are for livestock and then you will know what you are talking about. To help others ! ! !

bumpus may i ask what you feed your animals?
if you try to do research on what animals really need and what is too much you can find thousands of different opinions. how many are giving extra vitamins for example and goats pee that unused out. you could throw your money in the toilet.
this time i found your words a little bit hard.
i think everybody who owns lifestock trys to do their best in feeding .i feed mine mostly alfaalfa/grass hay 50/50 free choice and about a poundper head goatgrain mix. minerals for goats free choice. as long as my animals have a shiny coat and clear eyes i think i don't need to change.

Not sure who you are talking to here Bumpas but I for one know exactly what to feed my goats. I mix my own grains so there are no additives, with the proper ratios of calcium to phos etc etc etc. This ratio also takes into consideration the free choice alfalfa pellets and grass hay they get along with loose minerals and baking soda. I also know who gets grain when and how much.
