yes, i have a goat that breaks out of the pen to steal the chickens feed,
of course if i find any knind of "green stuff" that i know is safe out here in winter, i pluck some for the goats
dog food is for dogs, supplemented with real "dog food" which is meat and meat scraps
i dont think any truly responsible goat owner would routinely feed dog food to goats, i can get a 50 lb bag of 12% sweet feed for 5.00
last i checked a 40 lb bag of old roy was around 7.00...... doesnt even make ecenomic sense does it ?....
i admit i feed lower quality cat and dog food to my cats and dogs, but my cats hunt and i routinely see them with birds and mice and voles, etc. so i know the cat food they eat is more of a supplement, than a main food
my dog , well he gets bones and lots of meat scraps , so though more of his food is from the dog food, its still less than half ....
its not fair to the animals to fee them poor food as a sole food source ... thats bordering on cruelty
