I also do that. but I keep the milking pail in the freezer, then when I milk into it. my milk cools fast. because the stainless steel, is so cold, it cools the milk in a heart beat.Sometimes I just have to strain it, and put away. so that is that. try it. if your pail is really cold, your milk will cool , when you milk into it.
