For me its the yearly handling of my buck's scur. It's a really bad one that it near as thick as a full horn but twists immediately back to pinch his skull. It takes about a year to get where it's close to touching so I try and wait until it cools every year to hop him up on the milk stand and pull out the wire saw.

Doing it hasn't hurt our relationship. :P He doesn't seem to care much but I just don't like doing it at all.

Disbudding just doesn't seem as bad to me anymore, I guess I've become inured.

Copper, I pour the copper out onto open face peanut butter sandwiches and they would chomp my arm off to get at them!

I guess hooves are me second least favorite 'must do' mostly for the back aching reasons cited before. This year I have _got_ to make sure everyone is trimmed up proper before about midway through my pregnancy because I don't want to be hanging out in hoof cutting position with a baby hanging off the front of me. lol

Selling goats can be hard. I can do it when I can rationalize it, but when the babies are loaded and yelling, its a bit sad. Can't keep all the babies, though, so some have to go. I was attached to one of the last does that wouldn't settle for her 2nd set of kids. She peaked at 10gal/day as a FF. She was one of the few who I used lutelyse on to induce her heat that year, makes me wonder if she was cystic despite having pretty normal cycles; We don't have room or time or desire to house a dry doe. Conformationally and genetically she was't anything special, so she went to the sale barn.

Disbudding, but the husband does that when I'm not home. I know someday I will have to do that dirty deed. But I like trimming, I put them on my milk stand, which is built for me milking while standing so hoof trimming is not a back breaking chore. Now I don't get my Boers up there, but the little ones I still put them up on a spool, have my cousin hold them there while I trim, no bending here either.

I really dislilke getting the flower beds ready for winter. Some of the flowers and plants are still blooming but, it's washington. We have a narrow window of time in the fall when it's not raining. And when it starts, well it's wet and blowing rain until about June. So, I have to pull up those late bloomers or get out there in my raingear.
That's what I did today. Driveway lightpole planter. Pulled all of the petunias. And planted some fall sale lavender plants. The Marigolds are still blooming strong. I want to pick the seed heads at the end of the week if the weather holds.
Tomorrow the planters close to the house. Then fill up the new planter bed with dirt and cover for the winter.
Yuck. Oh, well.

I was thinking only about goaty things... but you yeah, weatherizing for winter getting things prepped for not being used, that's definitely on my list of least favorite things too.
