That may be what's happening here. I have leftover milk every feeding. My dogs are gaining weight

Interesting, Doug! I'm sure Ruth knows her stuff..lol. We have always had good luck with the milk and many, many buyers and goat folks have remarked on how big our kids are...frankly, we have always thought of the "concentrates" as Joan calls them as "for later." More "food" for thought...lol.

She tells me that they have the milk at "exactly the right body temperature." I can go back and ask her...but I assumed she meant "goat body temp" as in mom.

I thought the girls were quite large too. (Could be awesome genetics) (can't wait to see my Goldtgwaite girls) It might have to do with all the green stuff I have for them to munch on during the day too. I have a tendency to feel of bellies if one isn't devouring the milk. I think as long as the bellies are full, they are getting enough. So I'm trying to follow your advice and Ruth's. All the feed they can get and all the milk they can hold. I do like big Nubians.

Wanted you to know that the girls are liking the free choice noble goat. They are quitting the lambar before it's empty and Fawn (adga named her Lawn today but that's another story)

The last mistake was Spirit and ADGA named her Sprint. Jana was telling me about her Henery (Henry) and being Prarie nights instead of Prairie nights for a while.

I'm sure they can but it will most likely be a process.

Well, I really like Fawn and it certainly suited that little one...plus it was beautiful with Bambi!! However, Green Lawn has a certain "natural" and sort of "with it" sound...
