Plastic chain collars. Very easy to handle that way.

I use dog collars, and have never lost one. I bought the nice plastic chains but there is always the goat with the nice collar that eats them off the others.

I tried collars, they chewed them off each other.

I personally don't like to have to carry feed with me wherever I go, plus then I get mobbed by ALL the animals at once, instead of just reaching and grabbing an individual's collar.

Dog collars on all, including the kids so they get used to them early. Stainless steel tags on each, which have the DHIA herd individual code numbers on them.
