Oh I'm super sorry. Crazy how that came and went so fast. Good luck with the others.

Oh, that just sucks.
At least she was spared the sloughing of udder tissue, and that is a blessing.

IMO

Sorry for your loss.

It really does suck as I am spending almost $30 a week on milk at the store. She was my best doe & so easy to milk. Just a sweetheart. I bought her & another doe several years ago. Marley has been standing there crying for Penny. It's so sad to see an animal mourn another.

The rest are doing fine. Mae (doe #1) was the first to come down with it. She is eating well & coming to the milk stand again. I think she'll be ok, but not sure about that half of her udder.

I am going to have the vet look over all of them again tomorrow.

One of my first goats was a one teated Alpine. Wonderful animal. Milked prodigiously.

Are you going to vaccinate with Lysigin?

I will ask the vet about that tomorrow. Mae did manage to jump up on the milkstand today. HUGE improvement. The side without the mastitis is slowly coming back into milk. She might pick back up again.
