Oh, I saw a medicated Right Now Emerald (oddly my local place carries that one, but not the onyx), didn't know the onyx came medicated too...did you happen to notice what was the meds in it? It may be an interesting sub for medicated cocci feed for kids.

Hm, well, Chlortetracycline is the feed-through antibiotic and here's some info on Methoprene: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methoprene, and insecticide. Guessing the medicated minerals probably wouldn't help much with cocci. A friend of mine uses Rumensin blocks for her weaned kids to continue the cocci control. She also puts out bloat blocks (poloxalene) for when they are using fresh or semi-freshly cut alfalfa hay, especially with the later cuttings.

Very little. My back usually wakes me up and I'll have to move. I usually sleep an hour or two here and there. Plus I'm feeding weak bottle babies right now.

I would be afraid of creating antibiotic resistance.

I would only use it if needed for an abortion storm, it treats the abortion bugs. So, if your goats start aborting left and right, it could be useful...otherwise I'd steer clear. Besides, you wouldn't know what dose they are getting. Better to get the crumble medicated feed stuff with that in it if you end up needing it at some point.

They've already discontinued in the Southeast. Said it didn't sell well enough. The distributor told all the feed stores I have contacted that it won't be manufactured anymore. I wish these companies would get their stories straight so I can decide if I need to drive to Arkansas

Call Cargill, and they will refer you to the local rep, and he/she can get some included with a shipment going to a Nutrena dealer near you.

Hi Again everyone!
I wanted to thank everyone who contacted Cargill! Between your calls/emails and me throwing a complete hissy fit. I just got an email that they will still carry them in there Albany mill so my local Agway can get them for me! My rep said that is just for now and that it might change but I will take it! Thanks!!!
