That is a lot of snow for you this time of year! We used to go down to the Arkansas Ozarks area for Christmas and it was like summer it seemed.
We are now getting subzero temps. Too early for all this! This is January weather. Not ready for this yet - generally like to be able to freely move about this time of year with Christmas activities, then go into hibernation mode in January. Not prepared to hibernate yet.

Love the last pic of the dog bounding over the snow!
I am trying to count the blessings associated with snow and frigid temps.
Only got two so far, but they're goodies, I think: Kills bugs, and good for the soil.

Don't know about the frigid part, but snow is beautiful, you can build things out of it, it is a kind of water storage for plants (we need snow in the mountains here to keep our irrigation going in the summer), and it is just plain interesting...playing with the physics of snow is kind of fun.

The only snow days we've ever had here in Star Valley, WY have been because it was too cold for the busses to start or they couldn't get the heat working in the school. So 2 times in the last 10 years. It was -26 by my Jeep's thermometer this morning and the buses are still going. Sooooo glad I'm homeschooling and didn't have to be out there longer than it took to feed everybody. My poor little bantam roo slept under the coop last night and froze solid where he stood
