I'm ashamed to admit how much I just spent on my barn addition. My goats are spoiled. God has truly blessed me and I'm very thankful for that.

Hey, (no pun intended) everyone has the resources they have, and use them as they see fit. I have nothing against nice barns (actually, they're an occasion of sin for me: Barn Lust, don'tcha know), and I don't begrudge anyone their blessings.

We're just not there yet. But we do just fine with our blessings, and realize that others are at different levels.

Did you post barn pics? You know, they're just as much a part of Goat pR0n as the goaties themselves.

I did. Look under "The Project" I haven't posted final pics but it turned out awesome. The guys are finishing today. My goats will be staying at the "Hodges Hilton for Goats"

Many people actually do keep alfalfa under tarps quite successfully. We have done it for years.

Not everyone can afford outbuildings and such right away.

How nice for you that your world is so well-ordered that you needn't worry about such things.

If you were offended my apologies. In my area keeping hay under a tarp is only done with large rounds or as a temporary measure. Alfalfa is so rare up here that people would store it in the garage or living room before they'd leave it under a tarp. Best of luck with your hay. It's going to spoil unless you bust it open if it's soaked through.
