The buck smell doesn't really bother me either, but I know some family while visiting have commented on smelling the bucks after they turn the corner around the house & I don't even notice it! Must be I'm use to it.

Now hanging on to those wet, urine soaked legs to trim hooves is a little yucky I think but their smell is not offensive to me.

I trimmed before rut started and will trim later. I let the young buck into the barn lot yesterday to go to my wife for some loving. After I had fed all the fowl, I took him out so I could begin milking. My wife said "he doesn't smell like the other goats" when I told her why. She started looking for a place to wash up. Lol

I normally try to do that too but this year it seems they started going into Rut way to early!

For us, asparagus does not even take a day to make our pee stink. DW and I can seriously pee an hour after eating asparagus and it stinks.

Same here, Yarrow, it was a Togg buck that brought tears to my eyes. He literally made them burn and I got a bit of a headache by the time I was done trimming his feet, bolusing and clipping him.

COSO.. I remember smelling him as I turned from the road into your driveway.. didn't realize a buck *COULD* even smell that strong LOL (I think Nubians don't usually smell as bad.. simply do to less facial hair..)
