KrisD, thank you for that explanation! That makes perfect sense for what I'm seeing. He is still improving. I'm about to go dose with the oil again. He is standing, comes to me, browsing around his pen and drinking water now. He occasionally slows down a bit which is why I want to continue the baking soda and oil treatment until he seems 100%. His eyes just seemed lifeless this morning, but he's brighter now so I'm hopeful that we're on the upswing. I'll probably not update again until later this evening. we homeschool and I've eventually got to do that today as well.

Good luck with the little guy mamac11!

I had a tiny little doe with bloat and I would stand her facing me and then take her front legs and put them up on my shoulder and massage her in that position, it seemed to help to have her front elevated.

I too manage the homestead and homeschool, so I know how that goes.. sometimes I feel like I need to have my head examined!

Wow sounds like he's on the uphill swing finally. Glad he's over the worst of it. You're a good goat momma

grr, he's kinda down again. I can see him from my bedroom window. He's not as big as he was, so I'm gonna go on out and get to massaging. If he starts getting better again, would it be a good idea to keep him off of anything green for a while. Just hay and water?

They do sell something at TSC I think for Frothy Bloat, might want to pick that up & try that tomorrow if your still seeing the same symptoms.
I would definitely only give him grass hay & plenty to drink.
