Lets treat Pneumonia
He's sniffing and nibbling at grain. Took about 4 kernels of grain. More interested in it than anything else. He keeps sniffing it.

The Banamine will lower his temp. Might take 2 or 3 days of the Nuflor for him to really feel much better & want to eat depending on how bad his pneumonia is.

When tubing him be sure to let all the milk go out of the syringe via GRAVITY ( do not use the plunger). Remove the syringe from the tube. Cover the end of the tube with your thumb and don't waste time getting it out of him. If he'll drink from a bottle that's always the safest - tubing can result in getting it in the lungs even upon tube removal. Chances increase the more it is done.

I'll try that. I always let him swallow the tube slowly.

He did drank from a bottle before he got real sick. The girl I got him from said he would drink from a bucket. I never got him to do that at all.

He's nibbling at bushes and grass today. I'm still tubing him. He won't suck the bottle.

This is a good sign. I think he's anemic too. His eyelids are white. Where's that link so I can see if I'm looking at this right?

Ok. He's anemic. Now what? Will it just take a while for him to recover?

I would use Pyrentel on him, kinda scary to me to use prohibit or quest with him being that small, need to deworm him with something..
on a second thought can you get a fecal done on him? just thought about this one being the one you did tylenol on and I would hate to stress his liver if it wasnt worms

I'm going to give him another day at least. Today was the first day he wanted water in several days. He isn't congested anymore. He's had so many shots and so much stuff shoved down him. I think patience is next on the list.

I know little about prohibit as we dont use it here but I prefer Pyrentel or Moxidectin to be used (quest/cydectin)
may have to use the horse quest wormer just make sure to put it in a syringe so not to accidentally overdose

Doug, However it ends up, YOU have done a great job!! If that little guy makes it, you will be the man!! If he doesn't, EVERYONE knows how hard you tried...especially doing all the tubing and other stuff - not to mention the shots (yuk!). He may never want to get in your lap after all this, but WE will know who the hero was! Good Job!!!

Well. His bodily functions are still working. He just peed and pooped. He drank a little more water but won't eat. He sniffs at stuff. He's very weak. He can still stand and walk. I'm losing hope.

Hang in, Doug. No matter what happens, you've gone above and beyond.

His tummy sounds like he's drank way to much water. Here's a pic. I've been massaging it and he seems to enjoy it. Is it possible he needs some olive oil or cooking oil or apple cider vinegar or something? Could he be bloated a little. Here's a video
