Depression can be a downward spiral. People that face it often know they are blessed and the thought that they have many things to be joyous about, can make them more depressed. "Cheer up" is a nice sentiment, but when you know it is the right thing to do and can't it is even more of a downer.... people saying it just makes one feel guilty.

Pony, it is a beautiful day with nice sunshine outside. I know that if you are depressed, it is not simply feeling sorry for yourself, but it is something you are fighting. Sometimes the fighting makes it all the worse. You know God loves you... don't need anyone to tell you that. You may feel like you are letting Him down being sad with out a Big reason. He has always accepted you the way you are; good points bad points.... like a husband "in sickness and in health". Living here sucks sometimes.

The whys don't really matter. You are a helpful friend and encouragement to many people on HT and around your area. We love you for it. Your humor cheers our day, your kindness and friendliness is uplifting to our lives. You choose to be there for others no matter the emotional toll it takes on you.

We will wait and pray with you till the happiness returns.

I truly believe in the Power of Prayer! It has helped me immensely recently. You have my prayers and healing thoughts, my dear!

Up and down... I don't have words to thank all of you for the prayerful encouragement.

This sucks. But it will get better. Just not NOW :sigh:

One day at a time...

Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.

O&it, you are amazing and very confusing all in one. I love it.

Pony, I will say a prayer for you and hope that this darkness fades away soon.

Good luck with googling katsika.

LOL! Breaking up the word into its components didn't work well past philos.

Too cool! I've learned something new today (probably won't find that in the NT Greek handbook!)

There are classical and modern Greek; there is the K-form and the D-form, and there are mid-westerners like me that can't roll an r if it is the first letter in a word to save their life.

The New Testament word that will mean about the same thing should be something like "τραγος" which in Greeklish would be "tragos" or "trajos" or "trayos". It is not exactly an English sound, Which is why most Americans (including me) butcher the proper pronunciation of "gyro". The word you will find a conversion for online is "αίγες".

Cool shades BTW
