On the contrary, rams can be just as dangerous as bucks. More so *in my experience*. I've dealt with two mean rams in my life and one mean buck. Any male animal can be dangerous when run by hormones. So never feel safe and let your guard down. I *love* my boys, but I never *trust* them.

Well, they all came in pee-soaked on the same day. But I have no doubt that Ichigo, Cam and Fizzer all peed on Dune, Fio, and Chance while they were sleeping..........ewwwwww!

Wow, can't imagine having six bucks on the place. We just yesterday moved the buck and his pen buddy, Kendra the llama across the property to the buck pen. He was NOT happy, but I'm not dealing with that smell in my main barn!

And I was going to ask if you wanted to use Mac... LOL! Was joking about it w/Jason @ the MFA the other day. Can you believe that he thinks Trubby is spoiled, just because I buy her that lovely alfalfa they're selling?

Stacie wanted to use Mac for her Boer girls, and I declined b/c he wasn't rutty. Now, I guess I'll call her and spread some more of those lovely Camaro/Lark genetics through the county... Unless breeding will make the little stinker MORE rutty. Ugh.

It's that new technology... But I am sure that Ichi started it. He's older.

Some bucks, breeding makes more rutty, others it backs them off a bit.....no way to know without trying!

I can't hardly use the two Camaro bucks I have, since most of my does are related to either the dam or sires side. But thanks for the offer! Lark is looking really good, so I think I will breed her again this fall. Going to breed her to Royal.......

I actually was thinking about selling Cam, though he is the spittin' image of his daddy, because I really can't use him. But Joan can't stand the thought, so she is going to keep him over breeding season and the winter. Otherwise I'd have 8 bucks here for breeding season!!

Ugh! My 2 boyz have been perfume-y since their rutt last year! They aren't *acting* rutty, though. . . .

Hmm.... Maybe Joan wants to run a Home For Rutty Bucky Boys.... I'd pay her to keep Mr Stinks-a-lot until I am ready to use him. LOL! Talk about cottage industry!

AND she wouldn't have to worry during kidding season, b/c she'll have only boys!

I'm in Alaska and last year my does didn't cycle until October. This year they are already started. I have my buck running with them during the day but he wears one of those olor goat condoms that I made. Seems to work really well but he's frustrated. The does are annoyed at him too. I have two nigerian does and 1 buck. My oberhasli/boer doe doesn't seem to be cycling her doesn't show any interest in her.
