Oh my gosh, I am so sorry you're dealing with this. How horrid. I will be anxiously awaiting more updates as to what it is that is terrorizing you and your goats.

Research guard donkeys before you as one to the pasture. Donkeys are notorious killers of lambs and kids.

BB (shot) might be even better. Because of the size, there are surprisingly few pellets in a buckshot shell.

Electric fence!

Get yourself a good electric fence up fast!

There is no substitute in my experience.

I lost an entire flock of chickens to a mountain lion once (Yes I'm sure, I know my footprints and there was lots of snow) I put up an electric fence and have not had another issue for 6 years.

Also, my father ran a herd of goats on my property about 15 years ago. Lost all 11 goats to dogs over the course of 2 weeks. I on the other hand have my heard fenced in with a 5 strand, 3 charger electric fence. I've had ZERO issues with the goats escaping and the one night a pack of coyotes did come around (about 6 months ago) I was listening and heard a very satisfying "crack!" and yelping. They have not been back.

Get yourself an electric fence. They are far easier then they are made out to be and extremely effective.

I'd put my money on coyotes. people simply won't believe how much food they'll pack away in an hour. I've seen 2 pick a deer carcass clean over night. A pack of 5 devoured a horse carcass in 3 nights. A single goat is just an appetizer.

Best of luck.
