If your temps are in the 40's at night, almost 60 in the day I don't think hypothermia is your problem. I have dealt with kids being born below freezing, not fun but it is the first week of life that causes the most problems, after that they can regulate their body temps on their own.
Scours is not a problem with hypothemia, actually all their functions usually shut down.

I think you have something else going on and if it is possible I would have a necropsy done on one of the dead kids. If it is not possible take the remaining one to the vet, tell them what is going on with the other kids and see if it is e.Coli, white muscle disease, floppy kid etc. It is hard to tell over the internet the problem.

Sorry you have lost them. I hope the last one makes it.

I'm with Thai on this one. We used to deliberately kid in the dead of winter. If they get up and suck..they are pretty much good to go. They usually snuggle with each other or momma and/or have a heat lamp on them..but I'm talking below zero temps here.

Your temp isn't it. I almost wonder if you have a mycroplasma or something going on that is dropping the kids temps and causing some diarrhea.

I wish you the best..we pretty much raise our goats the same way you are. I just don't think it's the temps.

I raise babies in below zero temps too - so 40's at night and 60's during the day? that's outside kidding weather for my goats.

A friend of mine used to say you gotta get past the 3's - 3 hours, 3 days and 3 weeks - before your baby goats are "out of the woods".

I agree with the BoSe - I live in a selenium deficient area and I give my does an injection a month before kidding. Thiamine too. I would start there and see how that does you.

Hopefully, it's easily corrected - good luck.

Is the diarrhea on this last kid a new symptom? Did the surviving twin also have diarrhea? I don't really associate runny poop with the deficiency issues. Unless - was it just the yellow "newborn" sticky poo, or actual runny diarrhea?

We have had a few cases of myco around here in the past year, AND a lot of pneumonia with all of the warm days cool nights
