To cute. Mine were cute to as babies and I do love them, But if I have to hear one more time as the DH is yelling from the barn or pasture, "Do You Know What Your Goats Have Done Now?" This is why I love my goats, you never know how much trouble they can get into. LOL

Hmm, her head was still quite flat to the touch in the photos. Her breeder did shave the top of her head to get a better look at them but said she'd be more comfortable waiting I can just now barely feel her little buds coming up

I think Minelson is talking about the black/white wethered buddy. Try animal crackers or cut an apple for treats for them, see if you can get the friend closer that way. It will take time but just be patient.

Oh my goodness! They are cute, but I'm in love with that lil munchie!!

Since we are in the same state, how about you bring her by so I can love on her???

My Lamancha is due to kid in a week or so, but I want to play with babies NOW

He's a Nigerian Dwarf. No breeding in his future I banded him last week.

I'll try that! He gets curious and comes pretty close when I'm bottle feeding her, I think he'll come around.

I'm sure glad I made it in on this thread. I would have missed out on some REALLY sweet faces!

Congrats on your new babies. Ya know..I love this thread because it reminds me of bringing Louise (Weezie) and her momma home. They were my first goats ever. Praise to God, Weezie is still with me..fourteen years later. I wish for you and Belle the same kind of relationship that Weezie and I have had all these years. It is something that I have always cherished..and continue to do so daily.

Sherry, Weezie sounds lovely I am looking forward to a long, happy future with Belle. I always considered myself a "dog person," but I may have to revise that title.

I emailed her breeder, looks like I'll be getting another doeling hopefully in March/April

Your comment about being a dog person reminded me that for years I had an underlying fear that I would grow old alone, and be one of those crazy old cat ladies (you know, with a zillion cats inside, and feeds all the strays too), but there is no danger of that.

I'm the Crazy Goat Lady instead.

Aww thanks so much.... I so badly need to update my blog... it's on the never ending to do list

My upcoming Lamancha babies will be from Star, the black & tan doe, and Mocha, the frosted chocolate doe with the white stripes.... Both bred to Tonka, so the kids will be Tricks half siblings

But.... I have an entire week before I'll have babies!!! Can't believe you won't just run by real quick, let me smooch on that lil one, then be on your way..... While I keep....errr, I mean baby sit your lil one
