Selenium can be over dosed so I would not free feed it ever. I can look at the tube and see how much Selenium is in it.

The gel says 2.5 mg of selenium, give once a month. I usually pick the first day of the month to give and wormers or supplements needed, sometimes I forget.

Vets can't legally give selenium for animals they haven't seen. Often they will sell you some if they "know" the animal.

Alice that is an excellent article about selenium. Love what comes from that site!

O&itW, from what I read on your link, I concluded the "gel" would be insufficient.

Looks like Copperhead might have a better idea if one cannot get the Bo-Se from the vet.
