You just can't out think that man. I suggest psychotherapy- he obviously meets the criteria of "a danger to himself or others."

Alice you really need to write a book.
"The Misadventures of Dan the Man" or "Dan's World"
"When Dan the Man's Squirrel Hit the Fan"
"Rescue of the Boat"
Limitless options.

One time a couple of friends were visiting. We were in the middle of lunch, and Dan noticed that one of the light bulbs in the fixture over the dining table was burned out. Understand ( I think you do ) that he totally fixates on the project. He got a new bulb and stood on the dining table, between the serving dishes, to change the light bulb.

My friend calls it "Planet Dan" where none of us can understand.

He sounds like someone I would love to have lunch with. Actually, he sounds as entertaining as a goat lol!!!

Yes, I have seen this man take off in nothing but jogging shorts and boots to the barn to exterminate a possum with a .22. DS said he shot 5 times and, of course, DS had to investigate and assured me there were 5 hits. He believes in what he says!

My younger son replied to my first email, "He needs to stop doing stupid s**t."

Then, I emailed him your funny headline about Hubby being beaten into a coma. His reply was that his father's "head is the only bone that isn't experiencing osteoporosis."

I feel like I'm being flogged to a frazzle with an Ace bandage.

Hubbby said the squirrel is on the ground by the second pecan tree from the front porch. I hope something drags it away in the night.

Could someone pray for a few calm days for me, please?

Edited to add: White wine.
Alice, I hope you all survive this. I am VERY glad that you added the "wine" explanation because I was worrying that this was affecting more than your nerves...

Huh. He actually stops to put on shorts, huh?

Alice, I've been thinking about you. Too bad the apple wine is a bust, or I'd send you some.

For medicinal purposes only, of course.
