Thanks I'll pick up a can tonight. I usually give him all the scraps when I bake a buttercup squash.
I called the vet and she gave me some meds for cocci. It's new and starts with a P.
I'm just hoping that he didn't eat the plastic sheeting because it may not pass through. I'm going to take a closer look at the sheet tonight to see if I can determine if some is missing or it's just chewed on. I did find a small chewed up piece in the bedding.

Wonder if he did eat some of the plastic sheeting wouldn't that cause a blockage & the diarrhea would help move it through? Just wondering & I'm not sure.

Honestly...I don't think it's the sheeting. Mine nibble on the plastic bags that hold the shavings all the time with no problem. Unless he ate a huge chunk of it I wouldn't think it was that. Grass hay is the best thing to keep him warm so I would cut out all the extra feed you are giving him until this settles. I would suggest not ever feeding anything called "sweet'' or any corn. Might be too much for his system. When it gets terribly cold I give more grass hay and make sure there is plenty of dry bedding and they are out of the wind. I know at the vet clinic where I work we have given Valbazen when the dog/cat has diarrhea. That it the only experience I have with that.

If it was a blockage he probably would not have anything coming out and canned pumpkin would help it move through.
After you give him the canned pumpkin I would keep him on hay and water only for a few days. I would not give him anything else until he firms up. He can have electrolytes in his water, or Gatorade especially if he is still scouring and of course some more pepto.
While mine have not eaten the crazy stuff Minelson's have they do eat things they should not and it all seems to come out pellets, weird how that works with goats

FWIW my doe ate half a tarp last year and she's fine. Never bothered her.
Here's my thoughts, take them with a grain of salt. Cocci prevention should be one every 21 days for a full 5 days straight until 4-5 months old. One treatment is not enough to keep the cocci from doing permanent damage. I have seen goats that have not had the full course of treatments and they never fill out like they should. Having cocci damage will cause them to have problems digesting their food and makes them more suceptable to diarrhea and other problems.
I doubt there is much you can do at this point. However if this were my goat I would do a Baycox treatment and then keep him on Noble Goat (with Rumesin) for life. Do VERY small dietary changes VERY slowly. Make sure he is up to date on CDT to prevent over eating disease. Make sure he gets AC every day, they only need a tiny amount. Keep him on a really good quality hay, free choice. This is what "I" would do, it doesn't mean you half to do it. Just my two cents.

I forgot about the electrolytes in the water. I'll pick some up tomorrow.
He's on grass hay, pepto, probios and 3 doses of Ponazuril (sp). I put a can of pumpkin in the tray but he turned his nose up to it. When I checked later it was gone but I don't know which one ate it.
I checked the plastic sheeting and if he ate any it wasn't much so that's a relief.
I did put some oat straw bedding in right before he started to scour but I've been using that bale for a while.

Homemade electrolyte water recipe is
1 liter warm water
2 TBSP. honey
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
I hope he's feeling better soon, nothing worse than when one of our goats or other critters is sick or feeling off.

Thanks.
I'm not sure what to think but his back end is a lot cleaner this morning. I still saw a small puddle but am not sure when he made it.

I dosed him again tonight and will wait a couple of hours before giving him pepto and probios.
He seems to be eating better. I did see 3 little puddles but I also saw small bunches of berries and usually when I see them poop it's all at once so I'm hoping they are his.

Is there anything wrong with continuing with the pepto?

Once his poop firms up he really doesn't need the Pepto anymore. Not sure if it would bind him too much once the diarrhea stops or not.

This morning I saw clumps of berries so I skipped the pepto. I did give him more probios and electrolyte/vitamin mix in their water.
It looks like he's going to be okay.
Now once his gut settles for a week after I see berries I've got to figure out a way to help him put on some muscle or at least fat. I can sneak him something but it will require hand feeding him while I fight off his 270 lb partner. It felt like he was putting on weight earlier this fall.

Maybe you can tie his partner up to the fence while he eats.

I have tricked the lead goat by sprinkling a little treat in the pan so while he's searching out each crumb I let the skinny one gorge out of the scoop. I may have to do that again although I think this is going to be a permanent change in order for him to gain and keep weight on.
