What a sweetie! Manchas are the best.

I have to say I noticed your attire. Flip flops!!! And shorts!! Can I come visit with my 9 bred does for a couple months? They'll provide lots of baby Nigerians and Mini Manchas for you to play with! We just bought a little trailer last weekend, I can be there in about 3 days.

When I hear stories about people's beloved goats it always makes me think... Do you guys realize there are people in the world who do NOT own goats? I can't imagine how they get by. Gimme a goat over a dog or cat anyday.

Love the pics, she's way cute!

@Donna: TEN POUNDS???!!!! I cringed just to read it! That would be the last time I let that buck near me, I can tell you that!!! I love that you kept him. Im keeping whatever babies this one gives me next year. My other two are Mother/Daughter, so this little sweetheart is always the odd goat out. It breaks my heart. So she gets to keep whatever baby/ies she has next year.

@Anita: Her name is Paloma Picasso because her lines and markings are so clear, she looks like someone painted her.... abstractly. But my daughter teases me that she thinks her name is "I Love You Paloma Picasso" because I say this to her almost as often as I say just her name. I never thought about what we must look like from that angle.... too funny!

@Dbarjacres: Yes! C'mon down!
But I have to warn you, it was in the low 20s at night just last week.... the 50 degree temp changes are brutal.... I live on a meat goat ranch, though I have my own little herd of dairy goats. Another family boards three Nigies here. You'll fit right in!

That's so funny KrisP!

I have few regrets about my life, but one of them is that I didn't get into goats sooner. I seriously can not imagine life without them! How do people do it? Life is wayyyy too short to not have goats!

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. I live a pretty isolated life, out here in the sticks..... It's so nice to *talk* to people who understand.
