Just want to point out that the de-lousing is SOP and NOT because any of my guys have lice. They don't! But I don't think it's a bad idea to do while she has her in quarantine and I would do the same. Just don't want you all thinking "Eww, Blue Run Farm's goats have lice..." lol.

Ah, I was under the impression that it was bad to worm this time of year in general. Didn't realize it was more for upcoming kids. That helps! The other good thing is that the wormload is pretty small. All 4 goats have nice dark eyelids and firm goat berries, so healthwise the girls are not affected. But the fact that they showed up in a fecal at all has me concerned about sending any bugs to Beccachow's place.

I am still fine with keeping her until spring and worming her then, or doing it now. If Beccachow chooses to have me worm her and send her over, I can worm her 7-10 days before she leaves and then again the day of. I am just thrilled that Skittles is going to end up with a wonderful pet home and be spoiled rotten

I was only kidding about de-lousing, lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me, I wouldn't even think it. I meant de-lousing as in de-worming. Skittles looks way too sweet and clean for that!

Oh, lol! I wouldn't blame you if you did delouse her, I know a lot of people do that on any incoming animal. I was just thinking, gee I hope nobody thinks I let my poor goaties run around with lice, it's bad enough that they apparently have worms, lol. Makes me feel like a bad goat mama

On a side note, since I've had Skittles and Cookie by themselves in the front yard to keep Beverly from pushing them around, Skittles is getting to be more of a lovebug I've had more time to spend with them since they are right there and the bigger girls are not pushing them out of the way looking for attention. Last night they tried to follow me into the house (it was COLD out, I can't say I blame them!).
