I am praying that all will be well with mama and kids. If I were in the situation, I would want Emily with me and Emily thinks very highly of her vet. Calm, competent people are what is needed...and she has them!

Update! WOW!~
Mama goat is alive and well....Single buckling is alive and well!!!!
Somehow the ND doe must have gotten in with the full size Nubian buck. So the baby was huge!! Gena was trying so hard to get things untangled and out that the jaw was broken on the baby. They used a chain to try to get him out and that didn't work so cut her open and to everyone's surprise a Nubian buckling came out...and took a breath!! So the vet sewed up mama and fixed the buckling's jaw (using buttons) and they are on there way home.
Gena says thanks for all the prayers and she will be posting later with pictures. She has to take off to meet Sue with the premie babies so she won't be able to post until much later.
I can't wait to see the pictures! What a happy, unexpected outcome! yay!

So, as I was scrolling through this thread, my chest kept getting tighter and tighter until I saw the GOOD news and I realized I wasn't breathing when I let out a huge sigh of relief. I am SO glad everything turned out ok!

Wow! That is great news! Will the baby be able to suck? I really want to see pictures of this "button" procedure.

Thank you God for good friends and good vets! So glad everything worked out ok. prayers for quick healing for both Momma and baby. I would be needing a huge bottle of Loreal at this point to get the gray hairs out! Goodness, they sure keep us on our toes!

Gena said that she tubed the baby already with colostrum that was so thick it had to be mixed with Emily's cows milk to get through the tube. I don't know if she will have to continue to tube or not.
I just tried sucking on my finger without moving my jaw and it worked. lol!!!

Good news! I guess it just proves once again that if a doe wants to mate, she will!! I admit to seeing odd pictures of this coupling...
Now that everything is good, is it ok to wonder if this big baby will have short legs?
