Oh MAN! There is a drift in front of our front door about 4 ft deep. The front yard is almost bare though! Wind is crazy.

we got a few inches this morning and it was rough getting to work. half day today and i am home now. was a rough drive. now its freezing rain. my 2 goats are holed up with our jersey steer in the shed and are reaping the benefits of the branches that came down off our pines. they arent complaining. they think they are getting spoiled. we dont have heated buckets so every couple hours we fill up some gallon jugs with warm water and head out. luckily the sheds arent far from the house. i guess by tomorrow we are supposed to have around 15 inches.

So glad I took extra time outside yesterday to put out extra water and hay. Only had to dash out for graining today. Have about 5" here, but blowing and still snowing. My mini Aussie looks like the abominable snow Aussie and is in the shower thawing out, lol.

I am dreading evening chores. I am hoping the chickesn stay in the barn. the coop we built for them had one major flaw... The vents on the roof let in about 2 inches of snow. I had intended on keeping them in today but I opened the door in hopes they would go over to the barn. Poor things.
