I need you help again! I need a pic of an Angora goat

I wrote a short childrens story about the Legend of Christmas Magic and I need a pic of an angora goat for the cover.

It won't be the main pic on the cover and it will be worked into the rest of the art with photoshop. The pic needs to be one that is owned by the poster and the poster doesn't it mind it being used as part of the cover art.

I'm sure there is someone on here with Angora goats. If not, feel free to share it amongst the various goat forums out there until we find one.

When I started thinking of cover art, I knew the only place to come for the pic was to my goat family. If you end up finding someone on another forum that is willing to give a pic for this, you can have them contact me via email at a.d.trosper@gmail.com

Okay, it doesn't have to be Angora. Any white goat with horns will do. :)

Gone a milking has a pretty white Angora goat. She has some photos of Aurora posted on the fiber forum.

Probably not appropriate for a children's book but she wouldn't behave.

ROFL Anda!!!

Since it's about an Angora that's what you should have on it.

Oat Bucket Farm 12/04/12 07:17 PM

Well, it isn't really specified what breed of goat. Angoras are just what I imagined when I added the goats to the story.

Thank you to whoever passed my request around! Someone emailed me with a beautiful Angora goat. He will be perfect. :)

Minelson 12/04/12 10:31 PM

Glad you got what you needed. Andabigmac....that was priceless !! LOL!!!

gone-a-milkin 12/04/12 10:53 PM

Oh gosh. I am just now seeing this!
I hope you got a good pic. If not, then let me know.
I could go take some more pics of my white Angora doe.....no problem!
Trust me, she is photogenic (while she waits for her daily ration of BOSS).

Gone-a-milkin, that is a beautiful goat!

Oat Bucket Farm 12/05/12 10:20 AM

Oh, Gone-a-Milkin, I wish I had known! She is beautiful and would have loved to have used a members goat. But I the other lady is already working on a photo shoot her goat to get me just the right pic.

BUT! WAIT! We are doing interior illustrations as well. Can I send a pic of your beautiful doe to my illustrator? Do you have one of her running or jumping? Or one of her walking across her pen or pasture?

Gone-a-milkin......your goat is going to be a movie star......er something like that! She is gonna be famous!

I took 161 pics of the goats just now.
Weeding through them is hilarious.

What type of angles are you looking for?
Aurora really doesn't run or play. She is far too regal and enforces her queenliness with mere head shakes and single threatening steps. :p

Your goats are so pretty! Is the mouth open yelling or yawning lol!

Oat Bucket Farm 12/05/12 04:51 PM

Those are great. :) Do you have any that are more straight on from the side or her running or walking. She will be the model we use to draw off of for the interior illustrations. :)

A couple more.
This doe never really carries her tail UP though. That is one thing missing.

She was yawning.:)

This goat almost never says anything.
She lets the lesser ones do the complaining for her.

Oat Bucket Farm 12/05/12 06:36 PM

Oh I love those last two! Thank you!

gone-a-milkin 12/05/12 06:38 PM

Good luck with your book. :)
