It is with a very heavy heart that we are saying goodbye to Gizzie today. It got below 20 yesterday and snow overnight not alot but enough to coat the ground. He was crying this morning and looking at me begging me to let him go. I held him and told him I loved him and to have fun in goatie heaven. I am trying to be strong but this just hurts so much. I hate saying goodbye to my pets. Gizzie was part of our family and always will be.

It's always hard to let them go, but you are making the right decision.

I'm so sorry. I think Gizzie is one of my favorite bucks on this forum. I'm sure he will be missed. You sure gave him a wonderful life. When they tell us it's time..how can we say no?

thanks he was truly very special :) it is odd because I can smell him all over my hands and arms from hugging him today. It is sorta like he is hugging me telling me thank you and it will be ok.

He looks like such a little sweetie! When we have to let them go is the hardest part of having animals & it just sucks no matter when, why or how we loose them.

none Alice he never had any. it was just Gizzie and us. Before I knew they really needed other goats. When we started we had 3 they other 2 had babies and we sold all but Gizzie because everyone always beat him up and left him out in the cold not letting him in the house. Gizzie was mine and I put my foot down and said if they couldnt be nice to my boy they all went. Gizzie was always sweet giving kisses and leaning into you for good scratches. Alas at the moment we are goat less. :(
