Yes, my husband's name is Robin, and my daughter's name is Wren. She did not have a name for the first 24 hours of her life! LOL.

If your girls were done that long ago, and haven't come back in, I'd say they are very likely bred. How exciting! Did you sync them, or did they both come in heat at the same time?

The Jobi Nigerians are very nice! That's cool that she has alpines too! Where is she located?

Well Hello Nancy, I have your website in my favorites. I think I found you from an ad on KSL for Rokko's services. Nice to meet you!

Hi Squeaky! It is nice to know people are finding my website. I'm not sure what KSL is, but maybe I did advertise there, who knows. Hehe. I used to live in Jackson Hole when I first got goats (but I didn't have Rokko yet). I know where Star Valley is. How far from the Palisades do you live? I LOVE that place in the fall (any time of year really, but fall is just the most awesome). I almost rented a house in Alpine, but it was just too much commuting for me, and we would have had to get a roommate because the place was 4 bedrooms and more expensive than just hubs and I could afford. It was a really nice house though, near the itty bitty airport there, and with room for goats.

If you guys are getting all this rain we've been getting in the form of snow, I bet it is pretty high right now!

No we've been getting a ton of rain too. My soggy goats are mad at me. I'm in Afton.

KSL is a news site out of Utah and they have classifieds for UT, WY, and ID. Maybe I saw an ad of yours on East Idaho Craigslist.

Yeah, I had some ads in Craigslist. I know a lady in E. ID that has Nigerians, and she was going to be moving away-she provides breeding service for a whole lot of people in the area, so thought I might get some of her business. I think she ended up not moving though.

Afton's kind of out there! What do you do there?

Weird weather we are having this year! It was record temp's here today-58 for a high! On Halloween we had record temps also-it was over 70, and for once all the trick-or-treaters didn't have to wear coats!

Afton is actually the biggest town in Star Valley. Star Valley Ranch is catching up fast though. My husband is an electrician and I'm a stay at home mom.

My little girls were thrilled to not have to wear a coat over their princess dresses on Halloween.

Hey Nancy! I am just across the county east of you near Hansen! I too recently ran across your web site and thought how interesting it would be to meet you and see your goats. Do you happen to know Caroline (Little O' Farm Pygmies) who also lives near Buhl?

The thing about my IDGRC does is, without hormones, they are "silent heat" type. Last year, I couldn't even tell when Yaiza came into heat, as the best she would give you was MAYBE a little more tail wagging that normal. I ended up just putting her in with one of my bucks for 2 months....and the worst of it was, she didn't like him! So she's been open for 2 years now. (She did catch as a yearling with no issues, so I know she is fertile.)

This year, I used CIDRs, Lutelyse and PG600 to time, to the hour, A.I. Both girls were in screaming, standing, flames-shooting-from-their-rears, heat when we inseminated. I am *fairly* sure Yaiza caught. I am not positive about Nipper. I saw signs of goopy tail on Nipper about a week afterwards, but it *could have* been a false heat. I haven't seen signs of heat on her since. NO signs on Yaiza, but she could be fooling me. I'll draw blood next week.

Jobi Dairy is located in Brenham, Texas. She has a beautiful place, and her barn smells like fresh hay. She also has a milking parlor, with a carousel-type wheel for a milking stand that milks many goats at once, that I am quite envious of. Mrs. Jelke KNOWS goats, and has a completely clean herd.

You can PM me for her phone number, if you like. She doesn't have an internet presence, but she happily answers her phone.

You are absolutely correct, Pony! Why, I know it was only yesterday that I was downloading my messages off of the Renegade BBS that I ran (I didn't like Wildcat) using my Bluewave app so that I could peruse and answer them offline. Anything I thought interesting enough to keep, I first compressed using Stacker 4.2, then saved to my absolutely HUGE 400MB harddrive.

I'm sure that was just yesterday.

I don't know a Caroline, but I know a pygmy goat farm nearby. Is she married? I would know the man's name, as he was the one we were working with at the time-we picked up a few loads in the dump truck of goat poo for compost (hubs didn't think we had enough of our own...).

I love visitors, anybody is welcome to come visit my goats anytime you like. If you go to my website, you can call me on my number there.

Do you have any dairy goats, or pygmies only? There is a new dairy goat club we are forming, and the next meeting is tomorrow at 1 pm at Al's Pizza in Burley, if you would like to come, you are definitely welcome.

LOL Depends, Crystal....were you a computer geek? I know plenty of folks who were around at the time who would also have no clue what I was talking about.

Nope, not really..... Signed up for my first email address and chatted via messenger/chat rooms with a friend who moved away in 98-99. Past that, didn't do much online... Though at the time I was the only one in my group of local friends who even had email so I thought I was quite high tech

Wait, ya know, I shouldn't say "not really".... It should just be plain old "No!".... I barely flounder through my blog, and that works mainly because I click on things until something I like happens.... When we turned off the home internet a few years ago, I just unplugged my computer, didn't know what to do with it... My mom was my tech person and she did all the hooking up stuff... We're going to get home internet again after we move and the thought of having to set up the computer and.... Hook up a printer *gulp* is making me dread all of it

Don't worry, I have no idea what any of that means either! But, I think we are about the same age.
