Last word we had she is till in critical condition but thankfully alive. Family is all at hospital 2 hours away so progress reports are slow about coming in. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We will be sure to let them know of the online support they received.

This is the update from Noelle's mother posted just a few minutes ago on FB:

For those who don't know yet, our daughter, Noelle Holmes, was in a car wreck yesterday and was airlifted to Wichita (Wesley Hospital). She has been unconscious ever since. She has a brain injury and a small fracture at the base of the skull. She is on a breathing machine, not because she stopped breathing, but because when someone in unconscious they don't protect their airway. She is strong and writhes around sometimes, raising her heart rate too much, so she has a bit of sedative to keep her still so that she can heal. My parent live nearby so we will stay nights with them. Erica G Holmes stayed the night in Noelle's room to help sooth her when she was getting agitated. She seems to enjoy having her music on, or at least it doesn't seem to over stimulate her. She is still waiting on an MRI to check for any other damage to the neck. The injury is called a diffused axonal injury and requires a kind of "re-booting" of the brain. I guess it is just a matter of waiting for her body to heal since there isn't much the dr can do besides support of her systems. All her vital signs are good. Sometimes her body temp goes up and they cool her down. Sometimes her heart rat goes up too high and we try to calm her or they give her some relaxant.

------------

So please, keep sending prayers and lighting candles. Make sure that God, the Universe, the Goddess, whoever or whatever you believe in, knows on no uncertain terms that this should not be Noelle's time and she needs to be returned to us.

Still meditating for Noelle. It is REALLY good that their is brain activity, and that there is also body activity (she would not get agitated if her brain wasn't working).

Sending my hopes, prayers, and healing energy, and asking that the family be relieved of some stress while Noelle heals, and that the healing is quick so that she can wake up and relieve the family of worry.

Yes! Her MRI that she finally got, doesn't show any Diffuse Axonal Injury. The doctors think, given the new test results that the small fracture at the base of her skull is the cause of the unconsciousness. They have had her on sedatives, but they are working on weaning her off them. They are hoping she might come around tonight.
