I told them, I did! But she just looked at me like I was a nutcase, then assured me that they would get to it as soon as they could.

~sighs~ They just don't understand!

With the fence breach in April, 'due' in September, no reason you shouldn't be able to feel babies moving if she is pregnant. Ive been able to feel it sometimes at the halfway point, ALWAYS at a month out.

I just called them. She said, "It shows that it is in the process of being released. You'll have results by the end of the working day."

~sighs~ That could be FIVE MORE HOURS!

~grinz wryly~ Some folks that have been doing goats for years still have a lot of difficulty determining ligaments in a near-term doe. I never have any problem with this. I can judge ligs to foot-OUNCES of tension.

Some people that have been doing goats for years have feeling babies in there down pat...they can count hooves, divide by four, and tell you how many are in there. I, however, am lacking in this particular gift. I can't seem to differentiate between babies moving in there and hay moving in there.

Yay.....ish?

I hope it's an uneventful pregnancy and delivery. With a doeling and a fabulous buckling.

Well, a really sweet and dear lady, who is a friend of mine, is checking with TAMU about ultrasounds. If at all possible, I am NOT going to wait around to wonder if it will be a decent delivery until the time she goes into labor.

So, the hunt is on for an affordable ultrasound, and then we will know how many are IN there. If it is just one, then my vet gets to be on standby in case there is a need for a C-Section.

If there are two, I will breathe a lot easier.

Congratulations!?

Praying for healthy twins with at least one doeling! Now you will have to keep us posted on the ultrasound!

I will keep everyone posted. Called my vet and left a message. She is unsure if her ultrasound people will even DO goats, so I told her to ask in case no one outside of the vet clinic at TAMU does it. (The vet clinic at TAMU charges far more than my vet.)

Can you just get a X-ray of her? Then count feet that way??? I don't know anything about goats, but I know they X-ray dogs to get a guess at how many puppies are in there?
