Instead of building a new shelter in the fenced area, why not run a little aisle of fenced area from the shed they are in now, to the fenced acre? Sort of like a hallway or something

I like the pallet idea. And my husband just got a job as an RV technician so he gets sent home with scrap awnings all the time (Like tarps but heavy duty enough to make a great roof) So I think I have a good idea. Also, we combined our 4 strand electric fenced half acre with my mom's 1 strand 10 acres, so we now have about 10 acres fenced with 3 strands. Our goats won't go near the fence, and it is fenced in up to the back of the shed now. We did a pathway thing. Only problem now is that her 2 8 month old steers like to go into the goat shed, and we thought we made the door small enough, but apparently the cows are not that much bigger than our buck and can still get in. So I think I am going to build some pallet/awning lean-tos out in the pasture.
