I AM CRAZY! or is it just determined!

So everyone give me strength. I am going to NEED it.

I am 40 something. Hubby is a truck driver. Out of 6 kids I still have 2 of my own kids at home plus currently 2 foster kids. Milking 7 does twice a day, bottle raising my goat kids, still getting "projects" done, and then.... Tomorrow I am getting a 7 week old baby boy (my cousin had him & CPS took him cuz she is a horrible mom)

I just never could say 'no' ....

Not crazy, big-hearted. I hope everything works out with the youngest.

Very big hearted indeed! And determined...and just a tiny bit crazy ;)

Donna1982 07/16/12 01:45 PM

Not crazy at all. You are a great human with a large heart. We need more people like you around.

trnubian 07/16/12 02:29 PM

Most definately NOT crazy. Good for you for taking him. At least he will be with family right?
And really... who can say no to a baby? :)
Just think all of those kids are going to grow up learning responsibilty and dependability where many kids today will never learn that.

Snugli and collapsible playpen. They make anything possible! What an awesome world you're giving that baby. Think of all of the fresh air and sunshine he'll be getting. It'll be fun!

mamaC11 07/16/12 02:58 PM

gosh, I second the snugli! Or mobywrap, I LOVE my moby wrap, especially for little newborns. My youngest of 4 is only 18 months old. we were just starting our "farm" when he was a newborn. I wrapped him up in the moby and he went everywhere and did everything with me. Now he's mobile and into everything, yet still attached to my hip...still haven't figured out how he does that ;)
are you crazy? nah. the world is a better place when it is filled with those who have lots of love they are willing to share. good luck.

I'm impressed with ya...don't ever wonder if you are a hero...I'm tellin' ya you are.

Cannon_Farms 07/16/12 07:23 PM

are we crazy or is just everyone else abnormal?

Ranger 07/16/12 07:23 PM

Ok, I think you're crazy, but a good kind of crazy. Face it, taking on ANYTHING that is in dire need is a little crazy. We crazy people are a lot more fun and interesting than the "normal" ones!!!!!!!! Good for you.

mpete 07/16/12 07:29 PM

Gotta love 'ya all!!!! lol

I guess I am super nervous. My "baby" is 14. I have had a few foster kids that were itty bitty's, but this one is a keeper. :)

Thanks everyone.....

dragonjaze 07/16/12 08:14 PM

You've had so much practice, this one will be a piece of cake!

Mainelyhappy 07/16/12 08:46 PM

As my dear grammy used to say, "We're all right... the WORLD'S all wrong." Bless you for saving this baby. You are good people!

mrs.H 07/16/12 09:02 PM

You have a strong maternal instinct and drive. Being driven by the need to nurture and care for what and who needs nurtured and cared for is what earns this moms respect.

Ecclesiastes 11:1 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.

Ruby 07/16/12 09:12 PM

Bless you for taking this presious baby. At least your at home kiddos are old enough to help.

Backfourty,MI. 07/16/12 10:00 PM

I think what your doing for others children as well as your own is wonderful & they'll grow up knowing what a special person you are & difference you made in their lives!

Pony 07/16/12 10:08 PM

Jolly good thing you're milking all those goats - you're gonna need all that lovely milk! :)

God bless you and your growing family. You're tops in my book! (which does not mean you aren't crazy, but then, aren't we all?)

blujenes 07/16/12 11:49 PM

I skimmed you post, and at first I thought you took a bottle buckling... Thought the comments looked a little strange for a bottle buckling (AKA no begging for pics) wnet back and re-read it...

Great job for taking him in! (Even if I am a little dissapointed about not getting pics... ;) )

Ranger 07/17/12 04:52 AM

Well, blufenes, if she doesn't post pictures this one isn't real either! No matter what she says!!!! lol

You will be rewarded in the end. I know you are not doing it for that, but you will.

PrettyPaisley 07/17/12 08:24 AM

I think you are *AMAZING* ! Determination is a fabulous thing!

sahmoffour 07/17/12 08:56 AM

You're my hero! I dream of fostering one day. We're just not in that place yet as we have four kids ages 3-10, but I definitely plan on fostering when they're older/out of the house.

I think you're a good kind of crazy, the world needs more people like you. :)
