Yeah hes cudding and doing everything a normal goat would do. I didnt think it was bloat either and thats why it tricked me! Currently im clipping all my goats to stay cool in the heat and i just did him and he has dandruff so he most likley has a copper deficient.

Re: bloat and distress. The one time I had a bottle baby bloat, I got worried because she was sloshing like a half-filled water bottle when she moved. She was still running around and playing etc. But I decided to use the bloat relief and within twenty minutes she "deflated" significantly.
Since then, I have decided that the early phases of bloat may not neccessarily so distressful. If it is not noticed early, they it gets bad enough to be really painful.

Are you certain that it's dandruff. Mites also can look like dandruff in early stages and are much more common than copper deficiency.

As far as his belly.... it looks normal. Goats get like that.

I was thinking mites too because you said he has no hair on his ears or nose.

That's normal rumen for a pygmie especially. I have 2 dairys that get like that regularly. I would copper them though and I would do a shave down and check for mites or lice.

How do you treat for mites if that is what her goat has?

After I treated Pearl for cocci she seems to be having same reaction .. her fore and hind quarters are skinny but her belly is full and rounded and distended, so I waited and then treated her with ivermectin. Pearl was treated with safeguard by breeder (May), I treated for cocci because of severe diarrhea which is gone now (June), and now have treated with ivermectin just a few days ago (July). Her belly has gone down some except after she eats, and she has been browsing allot, I almost afraid to do another treatment for cocci.
I only mention this because she was just about the same size Pebbles was but when they are next to each other I can see how much Pebbles has grown in one month compared to Pearl...so the growing rate has me worried as well.

Am thinking of adding some probios to her feed ...
OH I also shaved them to help some with heat and so I could see and watch body conditions better.
Offer him some baking soda, put some on his lips he will lick it off

Just to make you feel better, I thought you got ahold of one of my pygmy goat Smoky's pics; he looks just like yours. Up to and including the basketball in his belly.

I use Cydectin pour-on, but Ivermectin will also work.

I would also suspect mites or a load of lice. They can be *very* hard to see and still be sucking a goat right down.
I shave a goat with lice, then treat with a topical.
If he is constantly large-gutted, its unlikely to be bloat, if he is still alive. But a goat with a heavy load of parasites will get that large-gut-but-not-growing look.
What did you worm him with?
