There is the good, the bad and the ugly in the show ring !! I actually enjoy the show part of it, just not the politics !!

Amen to that!

What would be wrong with lining all the goats up 12 hours prior to show and have the judge or some other designate watch as ALL goats are milked out completely? This would truly give a clear view of the udder.

Our little county fair isn't that way. The show is often in the afternoon and does are as full as they are then. Everyone there pretty much milks at their usual time in the morning and the does will enter the ring with however much milk they have in them by the afternoon. But it is a little county show (read county with tiny population). The goats all appeared happy and healthy. The whole thing is fun and fairly informal. You wear whatever you have on into the ring, no white is expected or anything like that.
