You guys that like technu really might want to check into the fels naphta bar soap I mentioned. techbu was my favorite product until I found that, and now I wouldnt even consider using that again. the bar laundry soap is MUCH cheaper as well since it lasts so much longer.

Update - we closed off the PI patch until the girls are weaned from the bottle. Then we'll unleash them, and I'll just have to stay away from them till it's cleaned up

BUT, I've been using Tecnu, and have only had a few bubbles come out, and they don't last the 2-3 weeks like the original outbreak did.

Somebody else told me about FelsNaptha soap, and I want to try that too.

Thanks everyone - the Tecnu is a great alternative to long pants/shirts and no petting!

Tecnu is the only product I've found that really cuts the poison ivy. It's been a miracle for me.

I learned to keep my milker out of poison ivy!

I am going to have to get some of that as well.
Though I am sure my new neighbors find it hilarious to watch my goats chase me around the yard after they have snacked on PI.

I'm such a goof! I have kept a very mild case of PI for weeks on my left shoulder. I couldn't figure it out. It's the shoulder that is against my doe as I milk It's the little bit that works through my t-shirt. I got my big out break this year from walking the dog in the woods.
I hate Poison Ivy!

I'm just getting over a horrible case of it that I caught from working with my babies. Milking my big girls has never caused a problem but taking care of the babies after they've been in it is a different story. This is the first bunch we've ever had to bottle feed so I've been much more hands on with this crew.

I didn't realize how lucky I'd been up til now but paranoia has set in. In this heat I've been going to the barn in jeans and a flannel shirt LOL.
